Tips on Buying Pre-owned

12:50 AM

The buy and sell system is simple, there is no need for anybody to be a rocket scientist to figure this out.

BIZCHUM has so many items bizzed for sale, most of which are pre-owned. We, at Bizchum, would like to share with you some basic tips on how to buy pre-owned items.

Tips on Buying Pre-owned

1. Read item descriptions carefully

Besides on the price, one must thoroughly go through descriptions. It will give you a general idea of the condition of the item. For instance, a member is selling an iPhone 4 and it is described as follows: "In good condition, minor scratches, IOS updated, 75 apps only $80". Lets look at the keywords: "good condition", "scratches", and "75 apps". Immediately this will tell you, the potential buyer, the overall condition of the iPhone. Its simply says that the iPhone has been used but not abused.

With this description, the price given is fair, because iPhones go for more than $300.

We would like to remind you that there will be buyers who will not describe the item truthfully, which will bring us to the second tip of the day.

2. Ask, inquire or politely interrogate

This is your cyberspace right as an online consumer. Ask how old the product is. Inquire about the number of hours they've use it per day. Has it been broken and fixed? Has it fallen inside the toilet? Has it been hacked?

Be thorough with all of your querries. All questions at this point are purely electronic: comments/replies, emails, texting and calls.

As the seller will provide you with answers, you will get a glimpse of the seller's personality. He could be friendly and patient, or he could be the demon from hell. Obviously, if the seller is the latter, no deal will transpire.

Once you are satisfied, there is one more step before you make an offer.

3, Meet up and personally inspect the item

Are all the seller's answer true to the fact? If so, proceed to the next step. If it isn't so, then politely say thank you and walk away. Then, as soon as you are online, make a feedback of the seller. Negative or positive, its all up to you.

4. Haggle and deal

At this point, you, the buyer, will negotiate. Do not be silly with your offer. Be fair. All sellers are open for negotiations, especially if they do not have a HOT product. Meaning, if there are no takers, then sellers will usually agree to negotiate for a fair price.

Remember to always be a smart buyer. Think before your spend your money, and HAGGLE, HAGGLE, HAGGLE!
