MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) allowed three people to have "full access" to  Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr., detained at the police Custodial Center.

"Tatlo ho ang may full access sa kanya. 'Yun abogado [niya], physician at ang kanyang spiritual adviser," PNP spokesman Reuben Theodore Sindac said in a dzMM interview on Monday.

Revilla was charged with plunder before the Sandiganbayan and turned himself on Friday, June 20, 2014.

Sindac explained that the three are exempted from the visiting hours set at 9 a.m. to  3 p.m.

He said that Revilla's personal doctor will be looking after the lawmaker who has been complaining of migraine and heat. He also refused to eat meals served to fellow prisoners, saying he has to avoid food high in uric acid.

Sindac said that the visiting hours were set to prevent overcrowding in the common receiving area of prisoners.

Revilla's family, however, was given an exemption last Friday to go beyond the visiting hours as he is the only one so far detained in the new building, Sindac said.

The PNP constructed a four-door quarters for police officers of the jail but the rooms were converted into detention cells for the senators.

Revilla is currently occupying the first of four living quarters after the Sandiganbayan issued arrest orders for the senator. The senator has neither seen his former aide, Richard Cambe, who surrendered to authorities last Friday.

"Sa pag-design nung Custodial Center, it was designed in such a way na hindi magpapanagpo 'yung mga 'yun," Sindac added.
