Students and employees in PUP Main Campus were asked to evacuate the main building due to bomb threat Tuesday noon August 12. This was later proven to be a hoax after the Manila Police District-Explosive Ordinance Disposal searched the area.

A fire hit the 35th floor of a bank tower in the central business district of Makati City Wednesday afternoon August 13 but was quickly put out. Employees were evacuated from the Citibank Tower on Valero Street but were allowed back in after firefighters declared the fire out.

A stampede in EDSA-Pasay MRT station happened Wednesday afternoon due to a defective train. According to a tweet of GMA News, the defective train hit the wall of the MRT station. Four people are confirmed to have been injured and were brought to San Juan de Dios Hospital and Pasay City Gen. Hospital.
